There is a need in the adult education sector for a comprehensive analysis and review of federal and provincial employment training, social assistance policies, adult education programs, technology policies and programs, and their impact on digital access for Ontario’s vulnerable adults.
We are pleased to announce that AlphaPlus has received a grant from the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development via the Ontario Human Capital Research and Innovation Fund to complete such a review.
This project will begin in September and will critically analyze the current literature, policies and programs that address digital access and digital learning for economically, educationally and socially vulnerable adults in order to propose specific recommendations for the Ontario context.
Stay tuned for further announcements about this research and our funding.
