tech_planning_imageAfter months of careful research and planning, we are excited to announce the release of the Technology Planning Roadmap, a set of packages designed to help adult literacy organizations make the best use of the technology they already have and to plan for their future needs.

The set includes the following packages:

  1. Technology Infrastructure Inventory Package
  2. Technology Assessment and Processes Package
  3. Technology Plan Package
  4. Technology Professional Development Plan Package

The packages can be used together or separately, and in the order that works best for your organization.

The set of packages is available in Microsoft Word to encourage organizations to revise and adapt the packages to their own priorities and needs. Please note that depending on the fonts, programs and settings on your own computer, some content might shift when the file is opened. As such, we have also made the file available in PDF format.

The Technology Planning Roadmap is based on our developing understanding of the important role planning plays in the successful integration of digital technologies in teaching and learning. This understanding is based on extensive literature reviews focused on the use and integration of technology in the education and non-profit sectors as well as on our work in and with the adult literacy field in Ontario.

Our hope is that this resource will be a useful support for adult literacy agencies to make the best use of the technology they have and to plan for the future.
