Educator network (eNet)

What people are saying about eNet

eNet enabled me to slow down and reflect on how I have been using technology and how I might improve my usage of it from a pedagogical/andrological standpoint. The course offered both a theoretical basis for using technology along with providing experience using new apps.

Participating in eNet training helped me to discover many educational tools, collaborate with other instructors, check their ideas and provide feedback.

I found it really useful, fun, and flexible. I got to choose my own combination of video meetings, online coursework, sharing forums, resource lists, and documents designed to help me develop my own projects, over 8 weeks of learning.

It was an excellent way to reflect on my thoughts on teaching and using digital technology as a learner and a teacher at the same time.

Our next cohort starts in October 2022.

Who is eNet for?

Do you work in an adult literacy program in Ontario?

Would you like to learn more about blended learning?

Would you like to hear what your colleagues in other centres are doing to support blended learning?

Would you like to join a group of adult literacy instructors to explore new tools and approaches?

If you answered yes to any of these questions,
AlphaPlus eNet is for you.

What is eNet?

eNet is eight reflective-practice modules for exploring blended learning approaches and digital technology tools and resources that will enhance and expand learning in your program. You will collaborate synchronously via Zoom sessions and practice with new approaches and tools asynchronously in a learning management system called Moodle. Don’t worry if you haven’t used Zoom or Moodle before—we will help you.

As an AlphaPlus eNet participant, you will

  • Plan, experience and evaluate blended learning approaches and methods;
  • Increase your confidence in applying blended learning practices;
  • Build relationships with colleagues around the province; and
  • Share ideas and resources.
