Maria Moriarty – Dropbox simplifies your life

The Dropbox tag line is “Simplify your life” and that is exactly and literally what it has done for me! First of all it is super easy to use – I just opened a free account, got my own Dropbox and now I use it to store files, documents, images, and videos. Best of all I can access them from anywhere, share them with friends and colleagues, and I can sync them on all my mobile devices.

No more emailing myself documents to work on at home or when travelling, and no more panics because I forgot to email myself something! No more printing out weighty documents – I just open up my trusty Dropbox wherever I am and there they are.

Here is one example of how it has made my life easier. Recently I had to go “home” to Ireland on short notice. Since I needed to keep working on a project, I put the documents in my Dropbox and worked on them wherever I found myself at – in hotels, at airports, on my brother’s PC and on my cousin’s laptop.

I was even able to share the files with my colleagues without having to email them. I simply shared my folder with my co-workers and they could see and access my latest files at any time. Boy did that save me time!

It couldn’t be easier or more efficient!
