AlphaPlus is an Ontario Literacy and Basic Skills support organization.

We are funded to work with LBS programs to understand and adopt digital technology solutions that enhance educational experiences and strengthen organizational capacity.

The literacy and basic skills (LBS) program  in Ontario is funded by the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training, and Skills Development (MLITSD). It is an Employment Ontario (EO) program.

LBSprograms operate in three broad contexts or sectors: college, school board and community-based (Community Literacy of Ontario and Laubach Literacy of Ontario)

To ensure that the literacy needs of learners from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds are addressed, LBS offers programming in four streams: anglophone, deaf, francophone and Indigenous.

Each of the 16 regions of Ontario has a network organization.

AlphaPlus supports programs from all sectors, streams and network organizations.
