Our Impact
Since 1998, AlphaPlus has been building capacity and creating a lasting impact in Ontario’s adult literacy sector. Over the years, we’ve developed a strong understanding of our sector’s diverse and complex needs and created a robust network of relationships built on that understanding. AlphaPlus is uniquely positioned to help adult educators, literacy programs, non-profit organizations and our broader network create meaningful dialogue to tackle challenges and improve the quality of learning opportunities.
The impact we’re seeking
We continuously work to help adult literacy programs throughout Ontario increase their relevance, responsiveness and reach, pursuing outcomes such as:
- Blended learning is the norm.
- Digital learning opportunities are equitable, inclusive, sustainable and effective.
- Literacy is part of a strong digital learning system.
AlphaPlus put us on a path that incorporates digital technology strategically and intentionally — in fact, our business plan now has a whole piece on digital. Our own operations are stronger, and we are better prepared to try to support literacy programs in this area.
