Ontario Drive

Ontario Drive is an app from the Ministry of Transportation. It helps future drivers assess their knowledge of the Ontario Driver’s Handbook and prepare themselves for the G1 written test. The app provides basic information about driving in Ontario: the rules of the road, safe driving practices and how to get a licence. It also provides information about test locations and approved driving schools. It includes over 150 random questions to help the new driver prepare for the G1 test. This app does not include the official guide. It is a companion tool that supports the knowledge assessment of road regulations.  

Pros

• The various questions enable new drivers to practice for the official test.
• Because this is the official app from the Ministry of Transportation, future drivers can familiarize themselves with the vocabulary and the design of the official test.

Cons

• This app supports the practice for the Ministry’s official test. It does not enable new drivers to learn about road regulations as it provides no feedback when a given answer is incorrect.
